Margit Blok is Senior Vice President, Safety and Sustainability at VTTI. She is responsible for ensuring the processes and procedures for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) are in place and being effectuated. She also leads our efforts for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting and compliance.

Margit has been with VTTI since 2007, when she joined as the Corporate Director HSE. She developed the company’s Health, Safety and Environment strategy and implemented a process safety improvement programme. As Managing Director of our  terminal in Amsterdam in 2021, she built a team to drive the terminal’s strategy for energy transition. She is an experienced oil and chemical professional, having driven efficiencies in operations, refuelling and permitting at several energy companies. Margit was originally qualified as an architect before specialising in building physics and environmental technology.
