At energy storage terminals in key locations across the globe, VTTI provides customers with safe, secure storage for a diverse range of fuels and chemicals.
Storage terminals are a vital link in the energy supply chain. Across our terminal network, we are positioned to ensure convenient connections for transport – whether by road, rail, boat or pipeline. We offer reliable jetty access, fast flow rates, efficient turnarounds, and top-of-the-line facilities, enabling customers to seize every opportunity in the global energy market.

Our approach to customer care
To truly meet customers’ needs, you have to think like a customer. You have to listen carefully, stay informed, anticipate global trends and think ahead: What do our customers need today? What do they need tomorrow? What will they need in the future?
To answer these questions, we stay one step ahead. We are a can-do company where new ideas are developed, solutions are found and opportunities are seized.
At VTTI we realise that everyone in our company works in customer service, including the people our customers may never see. Understanding and caring for every aspect of how we store and transport our customers’ products is deeply embedded into the values we all share.
Infrastructure and services
We anticipate the infrastructure needs of customers and partners, and we are always ready to adapt our business and expand our terminals to meet those needs. We have created world-class greenfield terminals in locations including Rotterdam, Fujairah, Cape Town and Tanjung Bin while also acquiring, upgrading and revitalising established terminals in locations including Antwerp, Zarate, and Amsterdam, among many others.
Our work varies from supplying vessels at the mouth of the Panama Canal, to complex blending in the Netherlands, to efficient throughput in Malaysia.
At all our terminals, we continuously invest in innovative, sustainable solutions that reduce their environmental and carbon footprint.
What energy sources does VTTI store?
In addition to conventional fossil fuels, we also have the capability and capacity to store ‘transitional fuels’ such as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and other biofuels that are critical to decarbonising transport by providing low-carbon solutions for trucks, ships, aircraft and other heavy-duty vehicles.
Check our terminal pages to see what each terminal is specified to store, which includes one or more of the following:
- Biofuels – SAF, methanol, ethanol, biodiesel, HVO
- Fossil fuels – crude oil, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), gasoline, jet fuel, kerosene, naphtha, gasoil, diesel, fuel oil, VGO
- Chemicals – petrochemicals, acids, base, solvents, lubricants, alcohols
- Vegoils – Palm oil, soy oil, molasses, oleochemical, methylesters
