IT Operations is responsible for the management, maintenance, consultancy and backend support of the global IT Infrastructure and Office IT Environment. The department operates geographically spread around the world, with team members located at several VTTI terminals.

Position 

Proactive participation in the Global Workplace, agile, team which is responsible for the daily operations and be part of the design and implementation of improvements for the Global workplace within the VTTI organization. The adoption, migration towards and configuration of Office 365 and endpoints. You will ensure the operational health of the Microsoft 365 and endpoints environment including security, availability, maintenance, performance, interoperability and reliability. The current Global Workplace environment is centrally managed for our HQ & 16 terminals and consists of: 

  • Azure Entra ID;
  • Microsoft 365 Suite (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and more);
  • Autopilot deployed endpoints
  • Intune managed environment for (Windows) Endpoints and (Android/iOS) mobile platforms;
  • Azure Virtual desktop and Applications
  • Global Print services (follow-me principle)
  • Unified communications platform based on Teams rooms and voice Veeam backup
  • Business locations: 17 mission critical terminals operational 24*7*365 as well as 1 headquarters;
  • The strategy is to move towards (Azure/SaaS) based solutions which will be the infrastructure of the future.

What we’re looking for 

  • Relevant IT education (bachelor / hbo) in relevant subject area;
  • Experience in supporting Microsoft 365 and endpoints for an enterprise;
  • Experience with migration to Office 365 and Modern authentication;
  • In-depth technical knowledge and experience in Microsoft 365 Cloud technology and good overall knowledge in Information Technologies;
  • Configure Microsoft 365 in line with organizational compliance demands and apply best practices;
  • Certification in line with and experience as Microsoft workplace.

Preparing

Selecting

If things go well during the initial screening, you will move on to the first interview.

The process and the number of interviews depending on the seniority level and the location of the role. All candidates for the same position will follow the same process.

Depending on the role we might ask you to prepare a technical task or business case or ask you to complete a short personality assessment, a skills assessment, or a full day in-person assessment. The purpose of this is to give us a better sense of how you approach problem-solving, your leadership style and/or how you would apply your skills to the role.

You are also welcome to ask for an extra interview or an orientation day at the terminal or office, if you need further conversations or in-person experience to make your decision.
