Tom Smeenk is Executive Vice President of Growth at VTTI based in London. He is responsible for our growth agenda, leading the team for mergers, acquisitions and greenfield developments. He joined VTTI in 2021 as General Manager, Business Development LNG & Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.

Before joining VTTI, Tom held business development leadership positions in the LNG and new energy infrastructure for Royal Vopak, based in Singapore. For Royal Vopak in the Netherlands, he led the Investor Relations department and was also a strategic advisor to the Executive Board. Tom has a PhD in Economics and two master’s degrees – one in Economics (Finance) and one in International Relations.
